Diego Armando Maradona in New Avatar

Its very interesting to watch Diego Maradona, the coach of Argentina Football Team in this World Cup 2010.

I missed the legendary performance of him during 1986 world cup as TV was not available then and I was in Primary school then. But during next world cup in 1990 in Italy, vividly watched him and his team, and I was huge fan of him (or still now!!). Still remember I used to write his name in school text books in several pages!!

Then he appeared in next world cup in 1994 too, but then the doping scam happened !

What is to be watched is his performance as Coach. He has nearly came back from the death bed... as he was seriously ill and recovered after medical treatment in Cuba. World has produced very very less number of genius footballer like him. And how successful he will be in this world cup is really an event to be watched carefully. In the group league matches, Argentina has won all the matches. The team is comprised of so many highly talented, skilled, and focussed players like Messi etc. It will be very interesting case study for motivation for turn around stories from ash - literally.

Day before yesterday, Got the much awaited news. It was about our beloved sir in ISI. I was so happy.....

A Day long Seminar on Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji at Sutahata

On last Sunday, 13th June 2010, there was a day long seminar on the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Maa Sarada devi, and Swami Vivekananda at Subarna Jayanti Bhavan, Sutahata, Haldia subdivsion, and it was organized by Sri Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Pathachakra, Hazra more, Basudevpur, Haldia.

I never went to Sutahata earlier. People of Sutahata very actively participated in the freedom fight movement, specially during Quit India Movement 1942 under the leadership of Sarbadhinayak Satish Samanta.

Swami Tadbhabananda-ji, Swami Bhubaneswarananda-ji, Swami Sribasananda-ji of Ramakrishna Math, Math Chandipur, and Swami Gangadharananda-ji, Swami Shibjnanananda-ji of Ramakrishna Math, Tamluk, and Swami Sunishthananda-ji, Swami Mayadhishananda-ji of Ramakrishna Math, Medinipur, and Swami Somatmananda-ji of Ramakrishan Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark were the speakers in the seminar on different topics.

It was raining on that day. Particularly in the early morning it was raining heavily. Still so many people including school students turned out for the program. My mother, In-laws, and we two participated in this program. The whole program was organized very nicely. Speeches on "Karunamoyee Janani Sri Maa Sarada" by Swami Bhubaneswarananda-ji Maharaj and on "Aantorjatikotaa O Sri Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhaab-aandolon" by Swami Sunishthananda-ji Maharaj were spell bounding.
