A Day long Seminar on Thakur, Maa, and Swamiji at Sutahata

On last Sunday, 13th June 2010, there was a day long seminar on the life and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Maa Sarada devi, and Swami Vivekananda at Subarna Jayanti Bhavan, Sutahata, Haldia subdivsion, and it was organized by Sri Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Pathachakra, Hazra more, Basudevpur, Haldia.

I never went to Sutahata earlier. People of Sutahata very actively participated in the freedom fight movement, specially during Quit India Movement 1942 under the leadership of Sarbadhinayak Satish Samanta.

Swami Tadbhabananda-ji, Swami Bhubaneswarananda-ji, Swami Sribasananda-ji of Ramakrishna Math, Math Chandipur, and Swami Gangadharananda-ji, Swami Shibjnanananda-ji of Ramakrishna Math, Tamluk, and Swami Sunishthananda-ji, Swami Mayadhishananda-ji of Ramakrishna Math, Medinipur, and Swami Somatmananda-ji of Ramakrishan Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark were the speakers in the seminar on different topics.

It was raining on that day. Particularly in the early morning it was raining heavily. Still so many people including school students turned out for the program. My mother, In-laws, and we two participated in this program. The whole program was organized very nicely. Speeches on "Karunamoyee Janani Sri Maa Sarada" by Swami Bhubaneswarananda-ji Maharaj and on "Aantorjatikotaa O Sri Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhaab-aandolon" by Swami Sunishthananda-ji Maharaj were spell bounding.
