Siddhi Nath Mahavidyalaya - A General Degree College under Vidyasagar University

Efforts of almost five decades has been realized! The prolonged waiting for a college in the vast area surrounding the village Shyam Sundarpur Patna is no more a dream but a reality. One more feather to the throne of National Teacher Shri Nirmal Maity, Ex-Head Master of Shyam Sundarpur Patna High School. It is his heroic efforts behind the establishment of this college. The college has been named Siddhi Nath Mahavidyalaya after the famous and old Jain Temple in the area: Siddhinath Temple where a 15-days mela is organized that starts on Poush Sangkranti every year. This college has started functioning from this academic session 2013-14. It is affiliated to Vidyasagar University. Now Honours in Sanskrit, English, Bengali, Geography, History, and Education are being offered. It is 15 KM from Panskura rail station of Howrah-Kharagpur section.
