Few Information on GATE 2010
- Organizing Institute: IIT Guawahati
- Online Exam for Mining (MN) and Textile (TF).
- Biotechnology (BT) has been introduced as an independent paper from GATE 2010.
- Each paper contains 65 questions carrying 100 marks.
- Each GATE paper shall have a common General Aptitude (GA) component carrying 15 marks from GATE 2010.
- Questions on Engineering Mathematics carrying 15 marks (for most of the GATE papers).
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer of questions carrying 1 mark. 2/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer of questions carrying 2 marks. (for most of the GATE papers).
- From last year, there is one paper for both CSE and IT students. Paper code is CS.
